Anouther advantage to trapping into an aviary is you can leave that open without leaving your whole loft open and exposed to predators at night or if you are going to be gone and can't close before dark but want to keep it open for the late return ones.

Make sure you buy homers. Maybe take the birds you have now and let them go a few hundred yards away and if that goes good then go farther. One thing if they are fat is feed half barley this will thin them out.

I think I did a very poor job making my point. I was trying to advocate the eradication of all dogs that we have bred to fight for our entertainment. For every person that is attacked by a bully breed, dozens of pets are shredded in dog parks, and on street corners without any media attention at al...

It is funny even on here pits have a bad name and noone wants one. Most people have no clue how they really are and if they did would like them. You do have a bunch of barn pigeons there. Some don't look so good (maybe sick esp. the 3rd pic). Anyway, the "whites" home but are not as good as homers. Some of them can be rehomed. You just have to take the chances if it will work or not. I tried to rehome 40 race birds in the past. I kept them in and most had raised a round before I let them out and after I started flying them I was down to 15. I just don't think it is worth it to loose so many.

It is hard to rehome a race bird esp. if it has been raced. You have to understand that these birds have been taken places and trained to fly home maybe close to 100 times and raced out to hundreds of miles. They also have to keep flying home when other birds break to their lofts this is not natural...

I race pigeons and we race young birds that are about 5-7 months old out to 340 miles. Old birds go out to 570 miles. If train your birds to trap when they come home you will not anoy your neighbors. You do this with food. Train them when they are hungry, feed after you basket them to take them out,...
