I know more about training a hawk to hunt than training a dog to hunt. Only because I studied more about falconry than training a dog to hunt. A hawk only associates you as a means to be fed. They never think of a human as anything other than that. I expect to be more than that to a dog, but how do ...

Sorry, I have no videos or pictures. We have used his Jack Russell a few times, but his dog and bird don’t like to share. We also hunted squirrel with red tail. We carry a sling shot to run squirrels out of nest to the hawk perched nearby. If we don’t produce game for hawk, he will not return to the...

I have been the dog for my friends red tail for years. Busting brush for rabbits many times. When I retire, I will go through my apprenticeship.
