I have an open field of about 5 acres that I want to plant into grass for training dogs. I want it to be about knee high or so. What kind of grass should I plant and where is a good place to buy seed?

Re: Keeping bird dogs inside?
Lots of people keep hunting dogs outside. They don't have to be inside to be cared for. Just not sure if "winning" should be the measuring factor, but I guess it would be a reward for them for doing great at the trial. You going to do Hunt Tests with the new pup UltraCarry? Are you still breeding Ki...

MH is certainly not a waste of time. There are some great dogs that achieve this title. To me it shows a dog that has a great level of trainability. The retrieves have to be flawless and they have to honor at every opportunity as soon as they see the other dog on point. Almost all MH dogs are dogs t...

I was just wondering. Some people don't do health clearances because they believe their dog is healthy and it is too much money. The health clearances do cut into your profit for your litter, but I feel it is essential for good breeding practices.

I know a lot of people don't save pheasant legs, but I do and here is a great recipe for them. Save a bunch and put them in a crockpot and cover with water. Take your crock pot and cut up some celery and layer that on the bottom. Then add some pheasant breasts, I usually use 2-3 birds or 4-6 breasts. Then take a bowl and mix in 2 cups wild rice (cooked) with a can of mushrooms a can of cream of mushroom soup and a half cup of milk. Mix together and pour...

We are not trying to advocate his color as a reason for using him. Just stating his color is black roan. People need to look at abilities of the dog and health clearances before breeding to a stud, not color.

Just wondered if anyone does this with their gsps. What do you have to do at the show? From what I understand it is based on the standard and you nee...
