Dog Eating Dog House
Hey everyone, hoping to get some advice. My dogs are in outside kennels during the day while I am at work. I built them nice insulated, covered dog houses to lie in when they are outside in their kennel. I used 3/4 inch treated play wood for the outside of the houses. They work great, except my poin...

Have fed Purina Pro Plan since I got my first dog (5 years) and now up to 2 dogs. Dogs have always done fine on it, younger pup seems to shed more than he should, but other than that I have been happy. However, prices have continued to go up, now up to $67 dollars for a 50 pound bag. Had. Anyone eve...

Ratchet straps and a chain if you want to be extra secure. You may want to check your local cabelas/bass pro, around here they have them for sale in the store

Re: English Pointer Tail
He is a super nice pup, and shows promise already. Overall I am happy with him, however for trialing, the tail is a downfall. My expectation when buying a pointer, especially from an all age line, is a straight tail. But, that seems like the luck of the draw, nothing he did to determine that, and I ...

I have larges, but my shorthair is closer to 75-80 and is leggy like a horse. I think you would be fine with a medium/intermediate. So he is sickle tailed, almost to the point where his tail will touch his body in some cases. As he runs, it does seem like he is holding his tail straighter, when he was younger he ran with a sickle as well.

I own two males, happy with both of them, and they hunt just as well as the females. I chose males because I don’t want to deal with heat cycles, and having them fixed. And I have stuffed my males out, I don’t want to deal with puppies. Either way you will be happy!

Hi guys, I have a 8 month old pointer pup, my first long tailed dog. I know tails can be a touchy subject with some, but I have some concerns about his tail set. I was under the impression that with age (strength) their tale should straighten out. At what age should I expect to see a straighter tail...

Golden if you want a flusher. For pointer, bracco, weim or viz. Braccos are typically larger dogs, and somewhat harder to find.

Our vet was hopeful that once it was drained, it would stay down. I don’t think the vet realized how often my dogs at least shake their head ( often for no reason it seems.) Hopefully others chime in with more experience, but I had similar issues with my male (also intact). If you have a “leave it” command, you can use that, but enforce it. It seems the majority of people prefer kennels with a a truck topper. I can see this making sense for shade and protection, but for air flow I would think an open cab would allow better ventilation. We have had the kennel in the truck bed for about 3 weeks now, with temperatures as high as 90 degree...
