I would say its partly that the pup isn't super high drive and partly doesn't understand the game. Try throwing it behind cover that once he goes through the strip of cover he can see the bumper again, instead of into a big patch of tall grass. Definitely a GWP x GSP... :roll: I suspect it wont be any real serious hunting, and I also suspect you really need/want a good companion that may help grub up some meat on occasion. It amazes me how those that are concerned with "pure x pure" always use the silly generalization that two dogs of different breeds will produce culls as if two dogs of the same breed is a guarantee of aces. The variety within the SAME breeds today is so great that depending on what the owner wants ...
