I can take Sammy out with my two a couple of times a month. I usually train and have fun with them just north of Marlow. If you find a trainer you like I can take him there for you.

Yea, my gal woun't stay off of it either. Rough housed with the pups, ran around on three legs. :lol: Chewed the dressing off a couple of times. :roll: I finally dressed it, vet wraped it real good, put a boot on her and duct taped that on for two days. :wink: She wasn't happy about it but it worked.

Stumpy,

My female GSP Wiggles got into some glass, left front paw. Cut the pad right between the toes. Blood was everywhere, it scared the crap out of me. No vet trip thank goodness. She was down for a week and a half. Once healed up she was fine. I hope your fella turns out allright.

I tried it this season also. I mixed it (25%) with the Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice, that I keep them on regular. I did this starting in October. They did maintain thier normal weight much better this year.

My two do it also. They don't throw it back up though. I guess they like it and need the fiber :?: They also eat pecans, and chew up any tree limbs that fall in the yard. I just make sure to spray the back yard for weeds & bugs when I can keep them out of it for a cople of days.

I have two GSP's, in OKC, OK. I had the same concerns about a year ago. It's a challenge sometimes to get them the daily exercise they need. Then the weekend comes and they get to go to the country and work on birds on the cousin's property. So it can be done, it just takes some planning.

I use one of those red rubber block type brushes. I believe it's called a Miracle Brush. It says it is for a cat but works really well on my GSP's. I usually brush them down real good the day after the bath.

Good advice from all. I own GSP's. So my answer is yes, for all the reasons CR stated. My oldest female has worn all the hair off the end of her tail this year. I would hate to see the condition of her tail if it were not docked.
