Re: are Field Trialers afraid of wild birds?

Never said I was at a field trial. There's one coming up in Great Falls this spring, correct? Might go to that one. Never deleted any statement. Huns, Chukkers Gray partridge, same evil little bird, call them what you want.

You hurt my feelers If I had a report button I'd be pushing it about now :)

Rejoice! I see that that other place now has a NARK BUTTON http://uplandjournal.ipbhost.com/index.php?/topic/58454-report-post-function/ It's the perfect app to rat out a fellow bird hunting enthusiast. Does someone prefer a different training method to your own? Push the button! All distraught that...

Re: are Field Trialers afraid of wild birds?

Wow, glad we have some experts here, I do mean that sincerely. I don't no a nuthin' 'bout field trials. What both of my buddies are doing is not these horseback - AA? trials on wild birds. They're doing hunt tests and some of the aspects involve retrieving rabbits and other furred game. As explained...

Re: are Field Trialers afraid of wild birds?

Wild pheasants will run ..and run ..and run before they will fly .. Perhaps Your friends know more than you ? The buds probably do. These cats crave the canned hunts. Flat terrain, dizzied birds and easy to get them in their cabelas vest. But -- --- -- "Wild pheasants run run run before they fly"""...

are Field Trialers afraid of wild birds?

A couple of GSP buddies of mine keep on declining an invitation to go hunting for wild birds. One tells me that wild birds will mess his FT dog up. The other guy seems to fear wild birds and said he'll stick with preserve pheasants. Scare'dy Cats or what's up with these clowns? Good buds but I like ...

Re: They finally caught him. Roysetters

Glad to see this guy get his comeuppance. I have been a member of UJ for 7 years and I am sick of old Roy's posts about how he saw "thousands" of pheasants here", etc. Glad he is is banned for 2 yrs. UJ's owner protects his contributing members from the riff-raff. Any criticism of his big donors ge...

Re: Arizona quail

Cut my mearns trip short because of the rediculous amount of hunters. Didn't establish camp the first day because my normal locations had multiple camps of 3-4 rvs or 5-6 trucks all around them. 2nd day moved way east out of the area that is greatly impacted by the Internet posts, magazine articles...

Re: Arizona quail

It only took seeing a town I liked to hunt near get over ran from people talking about it on a few forums. I even PM'ed a few of them to take the name of the town down to no avail. The landowner we used to get access from says she went from no calls 3 years ago, to a few dozen calls this year. So y...

Re: Rock Acre Blackhawk????

Moonshike Ike = Blaine J., Lewistown Montana. What's up, Blaino! :) I've seen your female and believe me that tail isn't what I'd call a sickle tail. She holds it up at 12 o'clock, about 2" of the end curls forward. Will you be at the spring trial in Great falls in 2017? How is old Moonshine Ike (th...

Re: They finally caught him. Roysetters

Many a Montana bird hunter has been rejoicing since the spread of the news. A few vigilantes were not happy though as a RV burning party was just about to be summoned before the game wardens swooped in.
