ooh thats a tough one, if that happened to mine and he wasn't bothered by it, I would just put him on light duty, clean and disinfect regularly and monitor the growth process. I imagine it would be hard to keep an active pup from making that worse but you know your dog better than anyone.

I haven't noticed any difference between my mini and the reg. Granted, I don't ever have a dog several hundred yards out but I don't seem to be affected by terrain and differently than I was with the standard unit.

Seems like you're bouncing about with the breeds a bit. Have you attended a bunch of events? NAVDHA seems to be the best for experiencing a wide variety of breeds. But I'm sure there are some AKC UKC events as well near you.
