You can put your pup on a stakeout or (or chaingang if you have any other dogs) and get out of her way. Leave the area but be in a place where you can keep an eye on her. Let her fight it without association with you. Pretty soon she will learn that resistance is futile and she'll give to the press...

Just Study the Pedigrees of parents of any dog your looking at. Its a guess for anyone, the best you can do is see if the parents are winners/champions and if they come from other champions. The best trial dog in the world may not have a lot of champions in the pedigree because they just come from g...

Sounds like some great advice. I would say the dog is associating WHOA with something negative. Maybe just a bit too much pressure with it. The silent command system by the Smith's works great for this reason. Your not telling the dog whoa until he fully understands what it means. Remote launchers s...

I have owned many setters in my life. I love the breed. Range is a very controversial subject, however in my experience the King bred Llewellin Setters tend to be naturally closer than any other setters I've owned.

Corn is not as bad as many make it out to be. If its not processed right its a useless source but with the right processing it can add to the protein of a dog.

I have pulled porcupine quills out of dogs too many times. I usually use hemostats. They get a good grip and do a good job of pulling out the quills the downside to hemostats is the locking action. I find find this concept interesting. Sometimes I want to ask, is it really all on Bo's shoulders to reproduce himself?
