He is great now! After about 4 trips and 25-30 bird contacts he settled down. He's a woodcock machine now.

I just ordered the Quilomene Q5 Rimfire. I currently have a Filson and I hate it. Its hot, it smells and is jus to basic for my style of hunting. I was close to getting the WW but have been told its a bit heavy.

You don't teach a dog to point... they just do it. What kind of birds are you using ? Maybe the dog doest recognize it as a game bird. My dog wouldn't point pigeons until one was killed for him, same with woodcock ..

Decided to bite the bullet and get the Garmin Alpha. Not sure if the Mini or full size would be best for my 35lb Brittany. Any advise or experience with this collar would be great.
