Re: PPP
Well that's the way Chewy has always worked even before they got bought out. But I just bought 75 lbs of PPP for $3.00 more than I could have bought 50 Lbs from TSC. And I only have one GSP to feed.

Haha. I have never had a terrier earn its freedom. Neither Fox nor Welsh.Sharon wrote:The setter has earned her freedom when I'm away , but the Jack Russell has not . Always crate him when I'm out of the house or sleeping. Soon as I put that lipstick on he heads for his crate.

How does this disease start? always head, neck, and ears or redness in the belly area? Does it come and go at first and then get worse over time?

To the OP. If you are in NC bring me the dog and his vaccination records. Come back and pick him up in a week. He will be as good as new or your money back.

Strange the OP has not responded. I am not a professional but I can say with 99% certainty that a 4 month old lab would not be acting that way around me. Pinch the dogs lip? where did that gibberish come from?

Tell an ol' southern guy what hot spotting is. Is it simply someone showed the guy a good spot and that was the only place he hunted? Kind of like showing someone your fishing honeyhole and everytime you go there the guy you showed the spot to is fishing it.

Typically they are 30 days and while they do basic commands the main thing is they are introduced to birds and taken to the field once/twice everyday and exposed to birds each time. I think it develops extreme excitement in the pup...

What we have always done is get a 1/2 gal glass canning jar and fill it hot tap water. Not too hot though. Cover it with a towel and put it in the crate with the pup. Dad did this with pups when I was a kid and have kept doing it. Only pup it didn't work with was a terrier, but they ain't normal dog...

Re: Dog Food
So the reason I had asked this question is that I read a couple of articles ( one from Purina and one from a University ) that said corn supplied a sustained level of energy while rice provided more of an instant burst. There is nothing wrong with corn per se but 9.9/10 it will be in a food that is ...

Re: advice for fear aggressive GSP
I think if you follow GH's advise you'll have a fairly easy fix. The dog has to know you are the dominate one. Personally I like a dog that growls at strangers at the door. But when I tell them all is ok I expect them to clam down. I'd just continue to work on it and I think you'll have a fine dog. ...

I had a husky in college. When he was 9-10 weeks old and was running through grass/weeds ( probably about 18" ) he just stopped laid down and started shaking. He was fine and never had any health issues. I always figured it was a combo of being tired and maybe over stimulation.
