Re: Let's talk gun's . Does it matter to you ?
I've had people several comment that my 12ga semi is too much for pheasant/quail. With a wide choke I've not once had a problem over-damaging birds. Not that I don't like the idea of adding a 28ga o/u to my collection at some point!

I was reading a magazine article recently that said your dog is underweight if you can see his ribs. It said you should be able to feel them, but not see them. I have always followed the above somewhat. I want to be able to feel them, but not see them. Oh boy have I gotten an earful over it too fro...

There is likely more money to be made on boarding/training. However, I would really like to see what they're going to be doing before sending the dog off and am happy to pay more for the peace of mind. I have heard of a few bad experiences before with boarding trainers which is why I'm after guided ...

Mostly just hunting for fun and getting outdoors. Plain just like watching the dogs in the field, the fresh tasty game is a bonus. Still new to the bird dog scene, but could definitely consider trials later on.

When I spoke to a few guys at the local gun shop they stared that the reason .22 is rare is because when there are "shortages" manufactures produce the larger/more expensive rounds as they have better profit margins than .22. That and the hoarders. However IMO, power to the hoarders, they're keeping...
