Hunted quail in the hay day...in Texas...1960-1980...lots of birds and lots of bird dogs. I hope...

I am 70 years old and have hunted quail in Texas since 1961, from the valley to Lubbock. The snakes never go in and stay for a long period. Sunny afternoons (above 50 degrees) on South facing hill sides are the most likely spots. In South Texas you are never safe, not even marginally. In the Panhand...
