in my house, it is only my wife's shoes. this creates no tension at all.[/quote]
I can take a load of clothes out of the dryer and dump them on the bed. The dog will root around and ALWAYS comes up with something that belongs to my wife and run off with it.

Trainer I chose would not take my dog until he was over 1 yr old.....said their attention span is not long enough as a pup and for me to do my own work until he was 1 yr and then he would take it from there. Worked for me! We had a good first season on wild birds this past year.

I rode at Ames today. Have been trying to go for the past week, but due to weather was not able. Today was windy and COLD for the morning brace. Bo was late coming out....like any champ keeping everyone anticipating his arrival. Upon release he pinned a covey directly across from the release point. ...

Read some good reviews on the new Stevens 555. Bought one three weeks ago. $600. Love it. 20 ga, 5.5 lbs
Its not Browning or Beretta quality, but a well made gun for the $.

I've been considering the Stevens 555 in 20 ga as a inexpensive OU. Several listed on Gunbroker under $600.
I handled one at a Youth Hunt our QF chapter put on last month. Nice for the $. Check it out....its gotten some good reviews.

I have a Tek 2. I've only had it for a month but I like it. It does way more than I need. I find I am only using three functions, the GPS Map, Compass and the momentary stimulation.
They are basically an Android phone with all the apps.

Re: Fleas
I just recently put all of my dogs on a newer oral flea treatment called Nexguard. It's sort of like Comfortis. It treats fleas as well as ticks (I don't know if Comfortis treats ticks). The reason I went with Nexguard is because you can use it in conjunction with ivermectin, unlike Comfortis. The ...

My Llewellin pup is only 9 mo old, but I've switched between PP puppy and TOtW puppy and I can't see any difference. However, if I put a cup of each down, he will always eat the PP an leave the TOtW. I believe both are nutritionally good.

If you are hunting from a tree stand and shots are under 50 yd it's probably ok. I've never shot a deer with anything smaller than a .41 mag (Love my S & W Mod 57). I'd save my $ and get a bigger gun.

Your wood work looks great. A guy I work with started doing this and also making ink pens with wood barrels. The pens are outselling the duck calls 10 to 1. In six months he has paid for all his new woodworking equipment and made a nice profit. Good Luck!

Can you pull him from the pasture/paddock and hand graze him randomly? Spend some time with him not working him? When we first got into horses we boarded them, so it really was hard to find the time to just mess with them and not work them. Now that they're home and they see us every day and they'r...

Strictly a SxS man myself. You won't regret it if you find one that fits. Just look at the bird and pull the trigger! I currently have a 1921 Francotte and a 1916 AH Fox. You mentioned the need for non toxic shot on some hunts. Bismuth and Tungeston are alternatives to the steel but are very expensi...
