I bought one from Target called the FurGOPet and it seems to get a lot of the hair... I still find the stuff everywhere though

Re: Whats your favorite dog breed? And why?
Coming from a large family that lived on a farm growing up we had lots of different dogs... My favorite though growing up had to be our German Shepard... Was an awesome dog and a loyal companion.. lived to almost 18 YO... Was strongly considering getting another after my last lab moved on... But I g...

My boykin doesn't... It's the only thing I can put in the dam holes in my yard so he doesn't keep digging in them!

Re: PPP and bad breath
I don't think I'm over feeding... I'm only feeding him about 2 cups a day... Teeth seem to be fine as well... I guess I could cut him to 1 cup? That doesn't sound like enough though

PPP and bad breath
I'm currently feeding my pup Purina Pro Plan Puppy Formula (focus 28/18 Chicken and Rice) and am noticing more and more how bad it makes my dogs breath/farts... Didn't really notice it with the first bag, but it is very noticeable now... Is it possible I got a bad bag? or should I just swap the food...

Re: Alabama Bird Hunters?
I'm in Alabama, but south Alabama (LA = Lower Alabama)... Agree with what the guys are saying ITT... Union Springs is a great area... That's actually where I got my pup from.... The breeder (Dansby's Sporting Kennels) runs field trials and quail hunts from his land there..

Re: Best e-collar with locate and vibrate...not Tritronics..!
I picked up a sportdog 425 a couple weeks back... haven't had any problems with it yet... seems to have a pretty good battery life as well and charges pretty quickly (~2 hour to fully charge)

Re: Random Yaking?
My dog will do it every once in a while... sometimes some spit comes up, sometimes it's just dry heaving...
Wouldn't worry about it unless he does it a lot in a day... then he might have got into something he wasn't supposed to

Digging in the yard
My Boykin is 8 months now and has started digging up my yard more and more. He's not digging to get out, but searching for somthing in the soil (bugs, sticks, etc). I've been putting his feces in the holes and filling them in, and he doesn't bother them, but he continues to dig more holes. Anybody g...

Re: E-Collar for Boykin Spainel
Otto knows off the basic obedience commands (here, heel, sit, stay) and performs them very well inside and outside with treats/positive reinforcement. There are sometimes though when doing retrieving training/obedience training in the yard with him he becomes stubborn and won't come directly back or...

E-Collar for Boykin Spainel
Haven't been on the forum in a while. My boykin is almost 8 months now and it's time to get a collar for him. Was looking on suggestions on a good training collar for a boykin (he's about 30 lbs and might get up to 35). Was looking at the new Garmin Delta and the Sportdog 425. Just started looking a...

Re: A little about you...
Hey guys new to the forum. I'm 24 and a lumber broker for a building material supply company out of south Alabama. I've owned dogs my entire life but have only really done pretty light training and working with the dogs (mostly labs). I just bought my first Boykin Spaniel and am looking for some tip...
