Like mentioned above, have an area where they can see their surroundings.

I like to wait at least 3 weeks before I let birds that weren't born here fly.
I've let some fly sooner,...some make it,...some don't. We have a LOT of hawks here though, and young birds are easy pickins.

I would think that Advantix II would help since it has permethrin in it and REPELS ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes. Something else you might consider,... It's probably way worse.
That's about what I get in my 2004 full sized-2500-crew cab-4x4-silverado-6.0-with a camper shell.
And fuel costs are quite costly during the fall and winter.

Thanks for the feedback! I left it in their hands,...if they felt comfortable with it, I'd buy them. They decided 4 more birds (rollers at that) wasn't worth the risk of infecting my loft.
