When I brought my new pup home, anytime she was sleeping I would put her in her kennel. I left the door open, but just put her in there so she knew it was a nice place. Also, there were times during the day where I would put her in there until she stopped crying. It took awhile, but she got it. It w...

Is this the age where they try and show dominance that way? IMO, you will need to let her know her place in the pack. Dogs are pack animals and if you let them become the leader, they will not listen to you. My Brittany would not listen when he was younger, and when we changed the way we did things...

How do you know he's bumping the grouse? Perhaps he's just to close when he encounters them and they flush naturally. If he runs by to close and they flush, that's not his fault. If he points, then roads in, that's a fault. Or, if he makes scents and keeps moving in, that's a fault. What makes you ...

Choke chain is better for teaching obedience because you apply the correction. A prong collar is made for the dog to apply it's own correction when it pulls on the leash. Learn to use a choke chain. It will also transition to the e-collar well too. I have seen videos where the choke chain is used f...

They need to be having fun at that age. If the dog is holding points, and has been properly introduced to the shotgun I would say kill the bird.
