did you have any luck in Kansas? I was out there 2 years ago & it was dry with very few birds!! I was in Stockton.. I enjoyed the trip but it would have been nice to find a few more birds!!

What shells do you shoot? Do you always use the same ones? I heard it was a shell problem. I think it was federal I am using high brass Remington Express Extra long range shells. Its definitely not the shells in this case as the issue only occurs when the metal gets cold. 45 or below and the action...

Treat your boots with Sno Seal if your boots are leather,ive tried about every other treatment out there and none of them do much,Sno Seal works. X2!!! the snow seal is the best out there, & I spend a lot of time outside for my job & for hunting!! never had a problem unless I had a hole in the boot...

found lotsa birds also saw LOTS of hunters. weather was windy but we had our limit every day & had fun trip!! going to try & make it back out there the end of November or first week of December!! hope the weather is nice to us this time out :roll:

we hunted Stockton KS all walk in areas were hunted hard around that area early, saw plenty of shell casings laying, but no birds!! asked to hunt some private property & got into 3 coveys of quail & 4 roosters on our last day there. (the week before xmas) now the trip to south Dakota is a different ...

I have & love the cabelas case with the wheels& luggage rack. its well worth the $$$$ :wink: esp when your plane is leaving at the other end of the airport in 3 minutes. it went to argenta dove hunt & was the only survivior of the 3 cases that left new :) it made it back home with only a few scratch...
