Re: Pigeon coop
I'm not able to answer your question directly other than to suggest you search 'pigeon loft design' in your favorite search engine. Pigeons have particular requirements to happy and breed. The design of your loft will be dependent of a number of different factors that you will have to consider: clim...

Re: Does neutering have negative affects?
Before I neuter one of my dogs, I ask myself; at what age would I like to be neutered! :? Now Don, do you also ask yourself if you'd really want to wear a shock collar before you put one on the pups? Or ask if you'd like to live in a box with hay in it? Or ask yourself if you'd want to carry all th...

Re: Dogs and Chickens
One session with the e-collar was enough to stop my pup chasing the chooks. She will still point them, but wont get closer than a few metres to them.

Re: Building your first pigeon coop.....
Mulga, Nice job. I wish I had thought of opening my belgium trap like that. I'm going to have to modify mine sometime so I can open it like that. The drop trap works well. This is a video, if it works, of my new birds learning to use it. This is only about a week after I got them and only their sec...

Re: Building your first pigeon coop.....
Thanks for the designs. I have nearly finished my first loft. I based it around two 1x3 meter 100mm insulated panels left over from my patio build Decided to add it onto the end of my chook yard to save on extra posts and wall. http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn130/Mulga_2008/Mulga_2013/th_P10402...

Re: Which E-Collar?
At this point in Canada the Alpha is not really legal, but I think that is going to clear up in spring (a regulatory issue with the frequency it uses) so I would double check for Oz. It's not legal here due to the same frequency overlap. The Australian Communications Authority is the regulator may ...

Which E-Collar?
Howdy, I know this topic has been done time and time again, apologies and thanks for your replies in advance. I have searched the web and past forum posts which were very helpful. I'm still undecided on which collar to purchase. I have never owned an e-collar before (or trained a HPR for that matter...

Re: more on Ferel Crats
We have a wild game harvesting industry here in Australia. Feral pigs, deer, camels, wallabies and roos are harvested for human consumption and the pet food industry. There is a licensing and accreditation process to ensure food safe standards. A majority of the Feral pig (re wild boar) is exported ...

Howdy, I've been a long time lurker and thought it was time to introduce myself. I'm new to working gundogs, so I have allot to learn. Thanks for the great info. Here's my new girl Gemma now 6.5 weeks old, I pick her up in a few weeks. http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn130/Mulga_2008/Mulga_2013/1...
