Val has handled for me at several events and always does a great job. I am so happy to see her win. CJ is a great dog and they make a great team. I wouldn't worry about GSP'S getting any more popular, they are already a dime in a dozen so its nice to see one shine.

Where I hunt the bush is thick and nasty so I prefer a flusher - I too have a cocker. But I can appreciate most any type of working/hunting dog.... The AR groups have had their successes, usually with activities that most sportsmen do not support. Dog fighting, cock fighting, horse fighting, horse meat sales, live pigeon shooting, etc. have all been outlawed or driven underground. I doubt any of us would even attempt to defend animal fighting ...

My Gundogs also compete in Agility Trials and their reward at the end of a "clean" run is a tug toy. They still retrieve feather and fur to hand and its never been a problem. I think its more of a wives tale than actual experience.

Fitting a gun involves more than just L.O.P. It involves making the gun shoot where you point it which could also involve "bending" the stock so that your eye is in alignment with the barrels. Its hard to beat a properly fitted 686.

I treat each dog for $3.25 per 6 weeks, live in S.E Texas and haven't even seen a flea or tick for many years now. Bravecto seems too expensive for what you get from it. I'm not knocking it but until I see the cost effectiveness, I wont be trying it anytime soon.

Some people cant feed 3-4 meals per day. Simply up what you feed currently and supplement. Dogs will lose muscle mass as they age.
