Life Flight Insurance is relatively inexpensive. I bought mine direct and it provides coverage in multiple states that I live and hunt in. It also covers my wife. My ACR PLB cost under $400 and has a 5 year battery life or about $80 bucks a year. Both make a lot of sense to me.

A lot of people change feed during the off season. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to feed. Once it gets hot, I don't do a lot with my dogs anyway except take them swimming. I learned that the quality of equipment can vary quite a bit between vets. I would go to a University vet school clinic that does ortho surgeries on a routine basis and normally has the equipment needed to properly diagnose these types of injuries.

I have tried.a number of different brands over the years with varying results. Some dogs do well on different food and food formula's change. I fed PPP 30/20 Salmon and Rice. I normally add a food topper that I make at home with beef, sardines, chicken gizzards, liver etc., Make 4 to 6 qts. at a time.

I hunt by myself most of the time and have to move everything on my own, so I use individual kennels. Like Garrison said, more functional and easier to move. I hunt in Iowa most years and if I was looking for a dog box, I would look at Ainley dog boxes out of Iowa. They seem to make nice stuff.
