Re: Coyotes and Birddogs.

Maybe one of the West Coast guys could chime in here but I remember that Ch Kelly's Talkin' Smak was killed by coyotes. Smak wasnt actually killed by the coyotes. Sean Kelly was out training him when he saw Smak about 300+yds out being chased by two yotes. He hurried over there and found Smak hidin...

Thank you for the replies. I removed the little guy last night and put him in a wire cage in the shed to help him heal up. I think I have an idea who the culprit is so I may remove him and put the little guy back. Thanks again

north star dog box opinions

I've been looking at dog boxes for a while now and have recently come across the northstar line of boxes. For some reason they appeal to me. I haven't had much luck finding many experiences from other people about them so I figured I'd ask all of you. What do/dont you like about the box? What featur...

Baby pigeons getting beat up

So my homers have been nesting for the past few weeks and have hatched a few babies. The oldest baby is feathered and I believe trying to fly in the loft. Every time he comes down from the nesting ledge I find him pretty beat up. Head pecked bloody and wings too. This is the first time I've raised p...

TT G3 Upland or Pro Series

Hello, I currently am running the tt g3 Exp upland special. Ive had a few problems with it but i think they got it straightened out. My question was is the pro series better than the upland? I think my dog would respond better with more levels of continuous stim then the lo med and hi momentary and ...

Pigeon Loft

Well I finally finished my loft and put 13 Homers in it. They seem to be doing well. They'll be in the loft for 2 weeks on Sunday. My question is how long before I let them out? Also what is the best way to teach them to use the trap door and go through the bobs? Here as a few pictures of the loft. ...

Re: Small size

My male pointer is about 20in tall and all of 40lbs in the off season. He's real lean but rock solid. My female is a few inches taller and and about 4 pounds heavier. I have yet to see a dog that can keep up with him in the field. He's a rocket. At first I was concerned with his size compared to oth...

Re: ongoing health problem

Thank you for all the replies. Its just really frustrating. From the beginning ive suspected a migrating foreign body because all the symptoms she has shown are almost identical to some of the cases ive read about. This vet just doesnt want to hear it i guess. I hope it is soon resolved. Thanks

Soon after I brought her home in august her health began to deteriorate. I noticed the top section of her last few ribs was a little swollen. She would run off to the room and was constantly sleeping. Eventually this "growth" on her right rib cage got worse and the swelling went from the top of her l...

astro dc 40 issues

So I've used my astro about four times now and everytime I use it'll lose signal with one of the collars. I've just updated it and the next day it lost signal between 10 and 15 times and would take 5 to ten minutes to recover. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Thanks

So my ep handles fairly with the ecollar. I think he's become collar wise. He will come when called whoa to a certain extent and generally listen well. keeping pigeons in a johnny house

Would it be a problem to keep pigeons in a 4x4x6 johnny house? I was thinking about adding door bobs onto my rear flight door and getting a few pigeons. Any recommended additions to accommodate the pigeons. There is a roost around the top part of the house where the mesh is. Thanks

I recently switched my 3 yr old EP from canidae chicken and rice to Diamond naturals extreme athelete. He is doing well on the diamond i.e his coat is a lot shinier and softer.
