What you type is all true, but there is a point where it's not worth doing, there is danger in guiding random folks and while 98 percent are good people and I get great enjoyment from being in the field with good folks enjoying my dogs, there has to be some sort of pay off beyond the feel good feel...

Your dog looks great to me. Iam fortunate I have a Vet that hunts. I've seen him bring new Techs in the examination room and tell them " that's what a bird dog (or hound) suppose to look like" nothing wrong with your dog.

You will be ok. Somebody stated one time then outcross. It's done with cows,dogs, etc. it's no telling how much it happens with wild animals. Some breeders (like Mr. Bob) breed really tight lines.
