How long will your phone last before needing recharge ? What type of signal do you get when dog is on point, beep, vib. If beep is it loud ? Howie's hearing is bad. Can you mark your truck for return ? I take it you do not have to have cell phone reception. Does not work off a tower.

Looks like a few mistakes were made by trainer. Trainer are not gods gift to the dog world they make mistakes too. If asked I would tell the trainer same. Petra if you are using launchers in maintaining your dog you could be the problem . Still in my eyes it's timing.

Problem might be in launcher use, timing. When launcher is used first indication dog has made scent pop the bird. if there is any forward progress from your dog. Roading in is man made by improper timing

Grouse can be a very humbling hunt. Anytime you have rain or snow grouse will use the pines for shelter. When the snow stops and the sun pops look to open edge . Edge of young slash , trails, roads, open sunny hill sides. Grouse will be out catching rays. Glad to hear Gibby handled a Few.

You guys are forgetting the amateur who raises, trains, handles their own dogs . Some of those folks are as skilled as any pro out there. These folks might raise one litter a year . Many hours of thought are put into the litters they produce out of their quality bitch.

My husband and a friend of his used to hunt a GSP and a lab together all the time on phez. Howie and Greg would always talk how deadly the combo was. Keep in mind both had well trained , broke dogs and the GSP would stand through most anything.

As long as we're getting out of the requested area Grouse Point Kennels in Wisconsin has a very nice litter coming up. The litter should produce pups with a ton of point, retrieve, water love and lots of cooperation. Litter was bred a couple of week ago.

Today they rely on judging, which has changed. Most of the top boxers of the 50's - 70's had an 80+% of their wins end in a KO. Floyd Mayweather is barely over 50%.
