I've judged the sire to your male many times. Rusty is a heck of a dog! I am not familiar with the Dam.
I would agree with others suggestion of trying to lease a female and raise a litter yourself.

A question was asked about judging NSTRA and has been answered by several NSTRA members and a couple of current NSTRA judges. Yet several want to tell these folks what is better. If you think the current rules or judging techniques are wrong, then join and submit your rule changes per the current NS...

Re: Question of judging NSTRA
The clearest example I can give as to why a judge needs to always see the dog would be if the dog goes over the hill. The handler takes 2 minutes to walk to where they can see the dog. If I as the judge am following the handler as some seem to suggest and we see the dog on point, I am now going to s...

Use a controlled situation where you know for sure where the birds are. When she false points, just keep walking and encourage her to go on. When she points a bird, flush and shoot it. But you control the situation fully to know when she has a bird.

The Briitany can be a house dog 50 weeks and still be an avid hunter the other 2. You cannot go wrong with a well bred Brittany.

Benelli, Cutting off the food is the best way to not attract. If safety is called, an A goes on the card no matter if you are given permission to take the bird out. IF you shoot without permission after safety is called, the retrieve is not scored per 2.05 as digger stated. If you are given permission to take the bird out, you still must get an A and you can g...

Carry a honeybun in your pack and give it to the dog if the problem reoccurs. He should react to the sugar on the bun fairly quickly. I had a dog years ago that did not have a problem until she was 6 or so years old. It was always worse on hotter than usual days. Just my 2cents.

It's what is between his ears. If I can stay quiet and just let him do his thing, all I have to do is shoot the birds. If he had thumbs, he wouldn't need me to hold and shoot the gun.
