I bought a new A5 3.5" for pheasant hunting Merry Christmas to me. I would like to know if anyone has one and are using a aftermarket choke. If so what is it and would you recommend it.

Re: Pregnant dog

Agreed to late in cycle to hunt. Have to think about the pups and moms health. Also look at the big picture the time and investment in the litter.

Re: concern over rough housing

I have a 8 year old and 3 puppies that are approximately 6 months old along with one that is 2. They all rough rough house each other. In my situation my 8 year once she gets started she is like a kid in the candy store. She carries on like she is going to really hurt one of my other dogs and never ...

Ruger Red label O/U

What would one expect to pay for a used Ruger Red Label 20 gauge in excellent condition with 5 chokes. Been following this post for a while and just getting others opinion. Also I see that others posted that they are a red label guy can you tell me why?

Re: Do you think Pointers have more bottom...

I agree with Corry. I raise both Springers and Shorthairs and they are always ready to go. Both breeds will hunt all day long if the are trained for the hunting season. My oldest Springer Gabby goes harder when the cover is thicker. She knows when to dial her energy up for the conditions we are hunt...

Re: Who has the right to name the dog?

I do not insist on my buyers using my kennel name. I give the buyer the choice if they want to or not. In the post that started the thread I as the buyer was not given the option. Simply stated:I believe that the buyer has the right to decide what they use for a name. I just give them permission to ...

Re: Who has the right to name the dog?

I was not trying to start a war here. I as a breeder would also prefer to have my kennel name used just do not require it. I agree that a person that buys a dog works just as hard as the breeder. I am both and put plenty of research in both buying and breeding to have a litter.

Who has the right to name the dog?

I am just throwing that question out there. I believe that if you buy a pup you have the right to name the dog. I as a breeder and buyer believe that it is the owners right to name the dog. According to the AKC registration form in a red heading it states. Name of Dog: The Registering Owner Has the ...
