When pup was young at 6 months I ran her on 50ft CC. When she would get out to the edge I would whistle and hand signal and tug the rope in the way I was turning. At almost 4 years now I hardly say a word she will turn automatic. Nothing better than have a good train dog in the field. Good luck

I don't believe in chase. Never have and never will. Depends on the dog I shut them down at 5or 6 months maybe sooner. The CC goes on and does not come off until they drag it around like its not there. Only then I have full compliance it comes off. Good luck

I like the longer ones 30ft. I use it in wooded ares. I teach the command STOP. As the dog goes around a tree it is easier to have the rope around the tree like a lever action. That,s when I give the command to STOP. It it less strain on you holding the rope. Don't forget leather gloves. You'll only...

I use it for the simple fact I want my dog to stop on command. We were hunting the other day close to a dirt road I was about 15 yards from road when a truck was coming. I use the command STOP with a hand signal at a distance. She stop in her tracks. The truck seen us and slowed down anyway, but tha...
