I have a labrador because the only bird hunting i do is ducks, and my uncle has trained labs in his day and this is my first dog to train by myself

I never thought of that, and as i read your post he lost a tooth, i bet thats exactly what it is because he will run to the bumper or object and bite down loosely and drop it.

I have a 5 month old male black labrador retriever, He knows all obedience and has been great thus far, i am training him to be a duck dog and this is my first dog, he has been doing well on retrieving and all of the sudden the past few days he has lost his desire to retrieve, he will run to the bum...
