Re: Quick Question- Hunting Age
I think that it just depends on your definition of "hunting". If this means you and three of your buddies with 12 gauge semi-autos, intent on limiting out, then I think it is probably a bad idea. If your plan is to expose the pup to riding in the car, contacts with wild birds, while keeping your exp...

I have never use the sportdog unit, but I love my Garmin. I paid attention to all of the bird dog boards for a couple of months and found one for significantly less than retail. I would try two things. The first thing that I would try is to tap her on the head and then walk off and leave her maybe even hop on your four wheeler and drive off. When she sees you one hundred yards away and leaving rapidly, I think she will come on. If this doesn't work, I would tap her on the h...

Re: The best way to set pigeons out for training..
There is a very cheap easy way to make pigeon 'releasers'. Use 1x1, or 1x.5 wire and cage clips and make a cage big enough hold a pigeon. There should be no bottom in the cage. You set the cage down over the pigeon and set a brick on top of the cage. Tie a string to one side and then run the string ...

320 is the hand held, you must also have a dc40 collar. I have dc30 collars, so I don't know exactly how to put the ecollar receiver on the same strap. I actually prefer having the ecollar and astro collar on seperate straps. I'm sure that someone on here can help you with this.

At six months I am letting puppies knock and chase anyway, but I would not tolerate this from an older dog. I want the dog to point as soon as he is certain that there is game present. I can always relocate him if the bird is so far out that I don't flush it on the initial attempt.

I don't know how your going to mount the nest in a kiddie pool. It has been a long time since I was in a kiddie pool but I recall the bottom not being real sturdy.
