So, what happens
If in the next few years - DNA is able to trace ancestors with a certainty that we have not had in the past.
Do you advocate if there is a crossbreed close up - to throw the whole line out of the AKC database and remove them from the registry?

Another Question
So, the irish setter (FDSB) is being punished for openly doing, what many breeds have had clandestinely done?
I think that sets a dangerous precedent.
Here, is a question could the AKC as the governing organization, unilaterally accept reciprical registration of the FDSB irish setters?

Seems the AKC Club needs to split into two different organizations. One for the Show side - another for the field side. Big hub bub about reciprosity to the FDSB. Looks like a big internal dispute to me. I was shocked at the comments. Seems to me that if the english and gordon setter organizations l...

So, ISCA - AKC = show dogs
NRSFTC - FDSB = Field dogs.
Perhaps someday they will be more like the
GSPCA and the NGSPA
or the VCA.

Should setter breeders be breeding for shorter tails
One thing I have noticed - the longer the tail is on a setter/pointer the more likely you will get hooked/sickle tail.
Seems to me that perhaps - when looking at a potential mating - tails might be something to consider.
What do you think?
