Re: Quebec = NO ecollars or Prong collars
Vets? Really? The AVMA has spoken against shock devices and adversives in general several times in the past few years. Brtter wake up and smell the free trade sustainable rainforest friendly coffee. While I am sure the majority of vets would no doubt oppose such devices. They are some of the most a...

Re: Quebec = NO ecollars or Prong collars
Ignorance at its finest. There is more physical damage done to dogs by the improper use of choke chain collars and regular flat collars for that matter. Yet they will continue to allow their use. Guessing there will be a rush on healing sticks and who knows what else as people look for alternative w...

Re: Kennel issues
My dog understands the kennel command but hates going in there. How should I go about making him love the kennel? Not sure how old the dog is, typically as a young pup they are introduced to the crate and spend a considerable amount of time in them. Generally I would set the kennel in close proximi...

I don't aim to get involved in this thread, but rather than banter back and forth publicly don't you think maybe you could privately discuss this and come to a resolution. Many including myself hold both of you in high regards. While I don't believe either of you have ill intentions. I wouldn't want...

I own 2, have had one for over 15 years parkerized 28" Barrel with 3 in chamber. thousands of rounds put through it replaced the o-ring once other than that only thing done was cleaning. Bought the second one a couple of years ago went with a camo finish & 28" Barrel with 3.5 in chamber, no problems...

Re: Too Cold For Training
Dont think ambient temperature is the real issue if you can stand it the dog probably can too. I think wind and the amount of ice and snow are more the problem. The dog will show signs if they are too cold, holding feet of the ground and shivering are good indicators that you should pay attention to...

Not sure which tranmitter you have but if you have a G3, as I do. I bought one of the discontinued Avery G2 cases and was able to trim it to fit the the G3.

Re: Avery True Bird ATBs
I have used these ATBs I dont care for them they are extremly stiff even in warm weather and absolutly useless in cold weather such as I have here in Alaska, all the ATBs I have bought, Cracked and have been thrown away. The teal sized one is the only one I might consider ever using again because it...

I personally use, and would recommend buying the Tri-Tronics if for no other reason simply because it is made in the USA rather than others made in Korea or China. Is it worth the extra $ to go with a TT G3?

Re: Mud River Dixie Kennel Cover
I have them on both my kennels, one is a year and a half old been in the back of the truck constantly and is holding up very well, One thing I do recommend is getting some spray water proofing and applying it to them to help keep water from soaking into the insulation and help fight against damage f...

Re: Shot gun choice
Your crazy. You can't use a duty gun in the field. A duty gun will have an 18 inch barrel. A field gun will have a 26" barrel. If you must use a Benelli M4. Used to be and im sure it is still available that you can buy a remington 870 with both a slug barrel which I believe is a 21" barrel and a 26...

Re: doggy vests
Super-sized dogs... the new trend. Yeah seeing more and more Labs over 100#, results of some different thinking when it comes to breeding I guess. Not sure why you would want a heavier lab as the are already predispositioned to having hip troubles. I guess its more about fashion than function. With...

Re: Suggestions on new Auto Loader Purchase?
if you are going to stay under $1000 and not shooting 3.5" go with a remington 11-87. I own 2 11-87's first one i bought 16 years ago synthetic stock 3 in chambers, have fired thousands of rounds thru it, only thing ever replaced on it was the o-rings for the gas system once when I completly disass...

Re: doggy vests
I bought one of averys XL boater parka's for my 80# yellow lab male it is a snug fit but thinking that it probably keeps the dog warmer that way, had to cut the leg holes out a bit to keep from chaffing other than that, working well so far.

Re: My lab has stopped retrieving
With the dog teething I would say lay off the retrieving for a few weeks and if you absolutely have to throw retrieves then use something soft ie... the old stuffed socks. Dont pressure the dog at this point because you can do more damage than its worth.
