Re: Big Brittany?

I had a big Brittany gun dog. He weighed 56 lbs in his prime. A real hunting machine that I htought could really cover ground. Now I have a smaller Brittany that weighs in at 40lbs. He'd run circles around my big dog.

Re: Roading dog with pedal bike

I ride with my Brittany right on the streets. It has never hurt his feet. I trained him with an e-collar and he stays right with me. He will chase a rabbit, but only for a few seconds. He comes right back to me on when I call. It is a great way to keep you dog in shape.

Re: Bits

Just a couple of questions for you. Is your horse comfortable with his current bit or evading the bit? Does he have flexation with his head and collection through his rear end? I would suggest talking to somebody at a saddle shop that knows his bitting. Go in there with good intel on your horse as f...

Re: NEW SD collar replacement also dysfunctional

I've got a SD 1825 and it works fine. Years ago, I had problem after problem with Innotek collars. I finally gave up and went to Tri Tronics. It was huge and wouldn't hold a charge. I guess the lesson is that all electronics can fail. You can have a bad batch or whatever. :?:

I've given up on the Danner boots. I had a pair of the Grouse Hunter boots that lasted 14 years. But I have had 3 pairs for Pronghorns in the last 4 years and they all leaked. Nice boot, but not waterproof.

Re: Roading a Dog with a Pedal Bike

I tried attaching my dog to the bike. I almost got killed a couple of times. Now I just use an e-collar and train the dog to stay close and pace himself. If your dog will heel off leash, that is the command to keep him close. I also attach a blinking light on his collar and put the Garmin tracking c...

Your crazy. You can't use a duty gun in the field. A duty gun will have an 18 inch barrel. A field gun will have a 26" barrel. If you must use a Benelli M4.

I have a pair of the Pronghorn Insulated boots and have been wearing them a lot over the last 3 winters. They keep my feet warm, dry and never really requ...

I bought a pup in late 2009 that had the field trial genes and a lot of FC's in his pedigree. I didn't have a clue what a field trial was, but a good friend of...
