Where is a good place to take a hunting trip?
Would like to be able to take my pup somewhere this fall bird hunting. My problem is I have no idea where to go. I'd like to hunt public ground instead of having to pay an outfitter and somewhere close to kentucky. Thank you.

He had three kennels and four dogs so he give it to me. He told me he was gun shy and wouldn't retrieve. Thankfully I've ha...

Re: My free pup
Thanks, i'm very happy with him. He points, absolutly no creeping, hunts hard, and retrieves to hand. Only bad thing he's a little hard headed at times as far as coming to me. I've had him three weeks, wild bird hunted six times and found two coveys. I'm tickled to death with him. Just sent his paper...

Best way to teach whoa?
I got a 17 month old registered pointer given to me. He points and retrieves great, hunts hard, and comes when called fairly well. I'd really like to teach him whoa and was wondering the best way. He's pretty timid so I wanna be able to go easy on him. Thanks for your help.
