Wood. With 1/4 on wire mesh around the gap between roof and walls. On the inside of the shed I have 3ft wall with chicken wire to the ceiling. And a door to get into the pen.

I have 2 of the LCS. Havent had any problems yet, as they are only a year old. They have served their purpose though. If I was going to be training multiple dogs over a period of time I would go with the dogtra. I like to believe you get what you pay for.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to keep a dogs nose off the ground when hunting?

Thanks for the replies. Lets hope the males dont get to crazy. I can put them in an outside kennel when the time come if needed. Everybody in my small rural town hunts. Mostly in pursuit of bear, deer and turkeys. Im 29, I have to buddies that have bird dogs. They arent real serious about bird hunting. Yeh they take them out and chase release phez when the game commision stocks, but they have never done any training with them...

I've always had good success with mine. Pen raised birds. Not sure about wild. Last year my birds were back in less than an hours. This year it takes a few hours.

I started my loft last night. Following the plans in the HOF post. The loft I have now will work good for shooters but its to small to keep birds in for a length of time.

There is some state game lands near me that they logged off a couple years ago. Havent been back since, but I definately going to check it out this year.

I picked him up at 7 weeks. I used old towels and put in his crate as a pup. Maybe the sucking started back up at that point.
