Im looking to attend a field trial or two this year, but Im having trouble finding any events. I just thought of it but I didnt look at AKC, i was looking on American Field.

Can someone help me out with finding some AF events close to North East Pa?

I believe there was post last year about trapping weasels. If you Google weasel box trap you will find some easy traps to make and what to bait with for them. Not sure about mink. Set one of your traps at the hole they dug and wait?

I haven't lost a pigeon all summer. I have lost 2 this week.
Could it be related to the hawks migrating?
Last fall I got my first pigeons and lost most of them to hawks. I had to get more this spring and pretty much start over.

If you have a litter of pups with the Dam/Sire registered with both organizations, and the Sire/Dam is only registered with one of the organizations are you restricted on who you can register with?

I used the crate shake method with my Britt. Only had to do it a couple of times. I shook it pretty good the first time. Now all I need to do is give him a SShhhh. From the top of the stairs and he quits.

My opinion is the buzz/tone is a better feature to have. I use it to recall my dog with out yelling or blowing a whistle. The beepers is also useful but I use it much less. With the field 90 I can use both options from my transmitter which is also nice. The beeper doesn't come with the field 90 pack...

Thanks for the replies. It will be nice to have a place for bird work right behind the house. And my birds won't have to fly very far to get home.

The field behind my house wasnt cut for hay this year and is pretty tall and thick. Im thinking about brush hogging it so I can use it for training.
How should I mow the field to be able to plant birds in? Im guessing strips would prolly be best.

I have shot 1000's of round with my red label 12 in competition. Never had one problem with it. Its about 15 yrs old now. I don't carry it much when I hunt, I like to use a 20 for hunting.

Prolly be a few weeks until I can get into a.specialist. I did a quick search on the scar tissue thing. I saw where they might be able to break up scar tissue with ultra.sound. If not have to get it surgically removed. I hope there is a fix for it anyways.
