My 11 year old brit has done it on occasion for years. I think if it's not happening all the time , I wouldn't worry about it. Brook only does it if she's lying around washing herself.

If you are wary about the e-collar for the counter surfing, I might suggest throwing a magazine at him when he goes for the prize. The fluttering action and noise will scare him. Another good thing about this is, you can later use the magazine in your hand to discourage other behavior such as jumpin...

My Brittany was/is a bootlicker last fall. This spring and summer I have noticed her casting out a lot further. I think once they realise that they won't find any birds on the heel, they will range.

Thanks trapper i will try that and see if it works.And original mngsp maybe i will cut his tail off and maybe he wouild get smarter. If it is the pup in your avatar, then maybe cutting his tail off will help, he is the right colour. Needs some feathery hair on its legs and chest too, though. :wink:...

I the area he sleeps, is there room for him to poop in one area and move and lie in another? Perhaps he does this and later forgets about it and lies in it. I was always told to have just enough room for him to lie down and not an inch more.
