I wrote an article about it on my blog if you want to check it out. But to summarize... * Choose a reputable breeder. * If possible, research and select a superior pedigree. * Choose which sex you would prefer. * Visit the pups between 5 and 7 weeks old. * Observe temperament, avoid overly aggressiv...

Glad he's ok. I am forever cleaning out the dogs eyes of seeds and such, but have never found a thorn in there. I did pull one out of Brook's foot that went up between her toes and out the other side. I have also seen her stop in mid run, reach down with her mouth and pull on out of her foot and con...

I just purchased the Sport Dog 2400 and it has a tone button. Any insight on what this feature can be used for?

Welcome to the forum and more importantly, welcome to the sport. A lot of people here would suggest you get a started dog first and I would agree where you have never hunted before. I would definitely try to find someone who hunts with dogs and follow them around for a while to see how it is done an...

Easy answer here...don't go deer hunting. Can't imagine why anyone would give up a good weekend of bird hunting with thier friends (two legged and four legged) to go sit in the woods with a bunch of yahoos that shoot at anything that moves. I always enjoy going to another state to chase birds when ...

Another good thing about this is, you can later use the magazine in your hand to discourage other behavior such as jumpin...

Thanks trapper i will try that and see if it works. And original mngsp maybe i will cut his tail off and maybe he wouild get smarter. If it is the pup in your avatar, then maybe cutting his tail off will help, he is the right colour. Needs some feathery hair on its legs and chest too, though....
