Re: ~ PICARDY SPANIEL PUP ~

I have found easy and difficult ones in every breed I have worked with so far. (No Picardys yet.)
In some cases, I believe there can be larger differences in the abilities and characteristics between bloodlines or what was produced from specific breedings verses different bird dog breeds.

I know where a top notch litter of GSPs are in Mississippi. The sire is a Top Gun bred male that titled out with his MH at only ~12 months of age. That's not a typo either! Hunting Clothing Water Proofing

Has anyone found an effective water proofer to use on their hunting clothes to make them water proof? After getting soaked in low 40 degree weather this past weekend, I am interested in finding a good product to water proof my hunting clothes with.

Thanks!

I know in Weims their is a recessive gene that produces long hairs and a recessive gene that produces a thick coat. Anybody know of gsp ...

Newer health science, as I understand it, tells us to focus less on caloric content and more on Carbohydrates! A solid black GSP does not work well in the south due to the heat. I watched a litter of 8 week old pups run around playing one spring day. The colors ranged from B&W patched to almost solid black. We quickly noticed the pups whose backs were more solid black appeared to get more hot and got hot qui...

You may be better off to buy a well bred female pup or even a well bred, very nice, well started female (to save time) to finish out training on and to breed to your male. IMO she is over fed. If she is pooping 6 times each day, that would lead me to cut her feed in half. It is obvious that her body is passing straight through the majority of what you are feeding her. As you feed her less, she should poop less.

That is not a 5 week old pup.

I like the old classic side by sides and routinely look over the sites to see what is out there. What I have seen is that if the gun needs gunsmith work done on it that I cannot do it myself, the cost of the needed repair work exceeds the cost of finding a gun in better shape.
