What kind of wormer?
I was wondering what brand of wormer everyone uses for their puppies and the female while she is nursing. I use the Drs. Foster & Smith "Pro Wormer II" A lot cheaper than Nemex and works pretty good. Just curious what everyone else uses. Would be nice to find another product that works good that I c...

Very nice looking pups. I really like the Britt puppy pics. I'm partial to GSP's but a britt puppy is very cute.

We had a 12th pup still born Sunday morning. But the good news is the other 11 are doing really well and mom is doing fine also. I got a pic of the little squirts to share with everyone. Enjoy. More to come later.

Pups coming very soon!!! They're here! Pics.
Mollie's temp dropped two degrees last night. This morning she is very restless and the vet said the discharge means pups sometime today. I'm sure she is going to wait until tonight before she starts. Can't have them during the day when we are all awake. :) I'll keep everyone up to date as th...

Glad everyone is ok. I've seen 2 tornado's from a fair distance. Never want to see one up close like that. Again, I'm glad everyone and the dogs are ok.

I should have been a little clearer in my original post. The dogs were out exercising when he jumped the other. While in the kennel there were no problems before this happened. Aggressive male GSP
What can be done with a male gsp that has become aggressive towards other male dogs? Last fall when he was at the trainers he took my male wirehair all of a sudden. They were kenneled together while there with no problems until that moment. A female lab he had there came into heat while there and he...

I went to Watertown, SD this past fall (left the day after Thanksgiving), and had a great time. Jager, I work in Watertown. Let me know when you get over this way again. I use both. Big difference is the cost. I feed my two female GSP's in the house Pro-Plan Adult Chicken fomula. It's the only food that doesn't give my wifes dog "room clearing" gas. :o Plus she is alergic to the Diamond fomulas. I pay about $33.00 for a 37.5lb bag. The Hi-Pro is right at $20.00 for ...

Good to hear the AKC kennels work good. How do you guys lock the door? Chain and padlock? I use one the long reach padlocks that goes thru the gate latch so the latch can't be slid up and open. I have found that a regular padlock works going thru one side of the latch also. But I like the longer pa...

Leaving on Thursday to take a little drive to Georgia to pick up my new GWP. I bought a pup from Ron Wilson. I'm very excited. The whole family is going to come with for a little vacation. Should be back home Sunday afternoon sometime. Will post some pics of him after we get back.

What makes a "Started Dog" Pointing breed
I was wondering when you see the phrase "started dog" what do you all consider that to be. Does started mean pointing, retreiving, collar conditioned, backing, etc. What do you expect a started dog to be able to do if you buy one and take it to the field? For the people who train dogs, what is your ...
