My bird launcher will be delivered and today and i know the 509 will fit pigeons and quail, but can a chukar fit in it too? You never see a bird launcher that mentions using chukar.

It sounds like you dont have it on correctly. The collar should be as close to the head as possible then tighten the collar. If you try adjusting the collar at mid neck the collar will slip up towards the head and back down while the dog runs.

My first gwp i had when i was a kid had a very full coat and great beard. The black and white GWP i have now has a very flat coat and he doesn't have a beard. The breeder said he would grow one as he got older but i'm afraid he won't be growing one. Everyone thinks he is a short hair due to the flat...

i've searched a few forums and this seems to be the one to join. My hunting companion is a 3.5 year old black and white GWP with a flat coat who loves to hunt. He is still learning due to very limited hunting last season when he cut a paw pad pretty bad on opening day of pheasant.
