My two males had the same problem. Had them for 8 years and never got any better. They would fence fight with bark collars on. I moved on and only have one male now. Some days they would be fine near each other and then out of the blue they would be at each other. Try reading up on the dog whisperer...

I have quail outside in my Johnny House in below freezing temps with no problems. Just have to unfreeze the waterer. I had 3 or 4 in a recall pen when we got down into the teens-20's and all of them survived just fine. They like to covey up for warmth.

Nice lookin pup. I have a slick one too and I wouldn't take anything for her. If she stays the hunting machine that she is I will probably breed her based on her ability and I like slick dogs. The slick look can totally disappear the next generation anyway.

I use a wire cage or small pet porter. If you put them in a cage don't put anything under it that you want to keep. You could also use a sturdy cardboard box with holes for short amounts of time.

What part of GA? I am in the Clemson, SC area every now and then.

Near Marietta. Look in your phone book under fences and see if you have any that make fence and the might be able to help. Also check hardware/tractor supply company I've seen them there.

If you're ever in Georgia I know of a fence company that will sell you a panel by itself and will make it to order. I ordered my door panels 6 foot wide from them.

I took no offense to what you typed. I took it as you are confident in a dog that you think will go far. Good luck with your pup. Maybe we will get a chance to meet one day. I have a wirehair that is a sister to Snips' Amos dog. Hope to get her involved in some venue.
