Just read a continuing education article on this topic. The following is a quote from the article. "Currently there are no veterinary-licensed cannabis or cannabis-derived medicinal products containing CBD in the Canadian or United States markets, AND these products are not regulated. In 2015, the F...

Yep, What Ray said. Somewhere on the bag of food there should be a recommended daily feeding amount, based on weight, age, etc. If she weighs 78 lbs now, and he wants her to lose weight, then feed her what the bag recommends for a 65 lb dog... and ONLY that! I get a lot of clients that say they are ...

looking at the pic, your vet should be able to debride that and just trim back the bony tissue a bit and then sew the skin over it. Shouldnt need to do any more of an amputation, in my opinion.

id try just debriding the existing tissue and then stitching the skin back over the bone. Granted, if its stretched too tight it may not heal properly, but there shouldnt be any reason that the bone is any longer than it was before.

Re: Partial CCL (ACL) Tear??
Nothing is gonna stop the DJD... except maybe the stem cell therapy, and she’ll have arthritis in that knee wether you do surgery or not. There’s also a 65-70 % chance she’ll tear it in the other knee. Surgery will help stabilize the joint, but it won’t “heal” it, if that mAkes sense. Personally, I’...

Re: Partial CCL (ACL) Tear??
if you really want to pursue it, the next step would be x-ray and or MRI. If its a partial tear of the ACL, only treatment that i know of would be possibly stem cell injections into the joint, maybe platelet rich plasma, somethingn like that. no reason to go thru the trauma of surgery for a partial ...

I was taught a high titer doesn’t necessarily mean protective immunity... it’s just a measure of antibodies. As long as the dog has a DRY spot, out of the wind, with something to insulate him from the cold hard ground or concrete, he should be fine. Small dog house with plenty of hay/straw will do the trick. And like someone said, good food and water.
