No he's a flower shop owner that also runs some really nice GSP's... :D

I don't think he hunts hogs with his GSP's anymore, but I know he used to and had a couple of dogs that were really good hog dogs as well as bird dogs.

Re: Hog hunting dog breeds

I hunted with hounds for many years, walkers, plotts and even redbones. We used pits for catch dogs. Now we have DD's that we use on hogs occasionally and one friend also has the little jagds that he hunts with his DD's. They are firey little dogs and if I lived in an area that had tons of hogs I w...

Make sure you take pics while your hunting with him this year. Nothing funner than looking back at pics of your dogs first year when he's entering his last. The memories will last a lifetime... 8)

Re: homemade dog trailer

You can go to Lowes and buy a trailer for anywhere from $400-$1600 depending on what you want or need. I'm probably going to buy one of their enclosed trailers and build boxes inside. Then all I have to do outside is cut doors and vents. You could do it with a flat bed one but it would take a little...

Re: Fair price for pups Pics added

Pedigrees only mean so much. I'd advertise them for $200-$300 bucks and you should be able to get rid of them all. The parents are nice looking dogs. The German lines in the dam will help them out too. I had a big male that had German lines on one side, he was a great dog. Most of the trialers on he...

Its one of the better meats out there. About all there is is the backstrap and some off the rump, the rest is too stringy and sinewy to bother with. Its got a tangy taste to it. Makes a really good meal.

Re: What's the best game meat you have ever tasted?

Ok first off, Venison is ANY wild game meat not just deer. And if you're talking about deer specify. Whitetail isn't nearly as good as Mulie. That said I've never met many wild critters I didn't like, but some are better than others. My choice... #1 Antelope/Moose Its a toss up. #2 Mulie #3 Mt. Lion...

I'm a high class type. I shoot a quality Mossburg 835 pump my wife bought me 9 years ago from Walmart....9 years, thousands of shells, who knows how many birds and never a problem. All at America's lowest price!!
