The season is only 40 days. It ends on Jan 31. And the temps weren't too bad. high 50s, but it was overcast and very wet. I really thought that Brownie might have some problems. He hasn't been on the ground in above freezing temps in a month or so, but he did just fine with the water and the clouds.

I have observed that when the shorter haired dogs(I have pointers) shed, the hairs tend to get stuck into the fabrics like little spears and require heavy duty vacuuming with brushing to mechanically pull the stuck hairs out. Shedding from longer haired dogs like setters may tend to be more visible...

Ours eat all sorts of strange stuff. But the strangest is the burnt corn husks from when we cook corn ears on the BBQ grill. Strange, they only eat the burnt parts. They steal it off the picnic table, dig it out of the trash and pick up the floaters out of the yard. They love it.
